The purpose of the McCook Public Library is to meet the informational needs of the citizens of the community by providing resources to assist in their pursuit of lifelong learning, cultural enrichment, recreation, and solutions to everyday problems.

Resources Provided
  • We loan resources in print, such as books and magazines in large and regular print and an assortment of juvenile bilingual and braille books.
  • We offer books on CD and cassette formats. We also provide a service through Overdrive, a database we subscribe to so our patrons are allowed to download books to their home computers, discs, iPods, etc.
  • We offer movies for entertainment as well as education in VHS and DVD format.
  • We offer our patrons language tapes to give them the opportunity to learn English and a variety of foreign languages.
  • We provide Wi-Fi internet services in the library.
