About the Park

Barnett park is located on U.S. Highway 6 and U.S Highway 34 on the south edge of McCook, laid out over 45 acres. The Republican River runs along the south edge of the park.

This park is the home for many different types of waterfowl.  On display for visitors is a retired M60A1 Battle Tank donated by the Army National Guard.

Amenities
There are two pavilions at this location that are used for family gatherings and community events. There are also two sand volleyball courts, two backstops for baseball and softball, and soccer fields.

There are two sand pits that are stocked with many different types of fish where families fish frequently and where visitors to the park will enjoy the five lighted fountains. (Swimming, boating and ice skating are prohibited.)
