The FAA is responsible for setting and enforcing the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and policies to enhance public aviation safety. To ensure compliance with the FAR Part 139337, the FAA requires certificated airports to conduct an ecological study or a Wildlife Hazard Assessment (WHA), and if necessary, establish a Wildlife Hazard Management Plan (WHMP).
