[ARCHIVED] PRESS RELEASE

The City of McCook Water Department is lifting the Water Warning that was issued on July 6th. The rain over the weekend has greatly reduced the demand for water, allowing the system to be replenished.

The Assistance from the public was greatly appreciated during this time!

Note of Interest:
On July 6th McCook set a daily pumping record with 5,410,000 gallons of water going to the Drinking Water Treatment Plant (WTP). The previous record for the plant was 5,392,000 on June 5, 2006. The 5.4 million gallons is also the highest daily amount on record since 2000.
