Due to extreme heat and very high water usage, the City of McCook has issued a mandatory water restriction between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., effective immediately. The prior water restrictions were voluntary, but we are now elevating this restriction to mandatory. The extreme heat and low humidity levels increase the risk of fire in our area. By conserving water, we maintain the appropriate water levels to combat fire should a fire occur. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.
