Yes. No construction can begin in the City of McCook unless a separate building permit for each building or structure has first been obtained from the building inspector. Any building contractors operating in the city must furnish $1,000,000.00 contractors liability insurance, with the City of McCook listed as a certificate holder and be a licensed contractor with the City of McCook prior to the issuance of each building permit.
